they are like less tasty doughnuts. i even had some at the place in Madrid* which is supposed to be the best place to get them - and still am not swayed from my opinion.
* (with a cup of melted chocolate)
and when i mean doughnuts, i dont mean the american style - i mean the freshly cooked at an english seaside kind, which are then put in a bag of sugar.

FYI both churros and doughnuts are fried dough, but the main difference is the dough itself.
Traditional churros are made from a mixture of flour, water and salt, without yeast, which is piped straight into hot oil and produces a crisp, slightly chewy texture.
Doughnuts are usually made from dough containing milk, sugar, eggs, butter and yeast, giving them a soft, fluffiness.
****It is not hard to conclude from these ingredients why doughnuts are superior. They have sugar and butter.****
side note
my dog once ate a whole tub of butter.
he was fine, but his bowels for the next few days,
were very greased up.
